Water is the most commonly used liquid in the pharmaceutical industry, e.g. for manufacturing medicines. At the same time, the standards to be met are particularly demanding for the manufac­ture of Aqua Purificata (PW), Highly Purified Water (HPW) and water for the purpose of injection (WFI).

However, treated water must not only fulfil the legal specification. Compliance with the limiting values must be continuously documented by the quality assurance.
